Peaks & Valleys Student Ministry

A PLACE FOR STUDENTS TO BELONG

At Sugarloaf Church, our Peaks & Valleys Student Ministry is a place where students can belong, build real friendships, and grow in their relationship with Jesus.

We want students to know that faith isn’t just something for Sunday mornings. It shapes how we live, the choices we make, and how we love and serve the people around us. Through biblical teaching, meaningful conversations, fun, and opportunities to serve, we help students discover who God created them to be and what it looks like to follow Jesus in everyday life.

Our desire is to walk alongside students through both the peaks and the valleys of life, helping them build a faith that is strong, personal, and rooted in Christ.

Students in grades 6–12 are invited to join us as we Gather together, Grow in faith, and Go make a difference in the world around us.

GET CONNECTED

Through weekly Sunday School classes, Midweek gatherings, special events, summer camps, and mission trips, we equip students to carry out the work of the Church in their daily lives—all for the glory of God alone.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Our Student Ministry is dedicated to helping middle and high school students in grades 6-12 grow in their faith and build strong, Christ-centered relationships. Students gather at 9:30 a.m. for Sunday School, where they dive into God’s Word through engaging lessons and meaningful discussions. Students meet in the Bird House.

WORSHIP

At 10:30 am, students attend the Worship Service, sitting together as a group with the Student Ministry or alongside their families. This schedule encourages students to deepen their connection with God and the church community while fostering a vibrant, supportive faith journey.

Every Wednesday, students in grades 6–12 gather at the Bird House from 6:00–7:30 PM for a night of food, games, friends, and growing together in faith. Each week includes a biblical message that speaks to real life, followed by small groups where students can talk, ask questions, encourage one another, and dig deeper into what they’ve learned. It’s a place to have fun, build real friendships, and grow closer to Jesus through every peak and valley of life.

Any time we take trips together, we get to know each other even better. Throughout the year the Student Ministry offers a variety of events to help students learn to serve others, make new friends, and even develop new skills while having a blast at the same time!

PARENT RESOURCES

Parenting teenagers in today’s world can bring plenty of questions. We want to come alongside parents with trusted, Christ-centered resources that provide biblical wisdom, practical guidance, and encouragement for the journey.

Below you’ll find resources from Axis, Desiring God, and Rooted Ministry to help you better understand the culture your teen is navigating, have meaningful conversations about faith and life, and continue pointing them toward Jesus through every peak and valley.
